COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Carolina Millan was named the Mountain West Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week, the league announced Wednesday, after a stellar weekend in San José State's final two home matches.
- Millan went 2-0 from the No. 1 singles spot against New Mexico and Air Force, both in straight sets.
- After winning the first set 6-4 against Air Force, she rallied in the second set after being down 5-3 to force a tiebreak. She won the tiebreak 7-0 to clinch the win for SJSU.
- The junior also went 1-0 in doubles with a 6-3 win in the No. 1 spot against New Mexico, while going unfinished against Air Force.
- This is Millan's fourth-career Mountain West weekly honor, her first with SJSU.
UP NEXT: The Spartans complete the regular season in Las Vegas on Friday and Saturday. They take on San Diego State on Friday at 10 a.m., followed by a matchup with UNLV on Saturday at 1 p.m.
