TOURNAMENT BRACKET

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas— San José State will hit the Texas sand April 21 through 23 for the Southland Conference Beach Volleyball Championship. The Spartans will face Boise State in the first round of the double-elimination tournament, with the winner of that dual playing again at 2:30 p.m. against the victor of Houston Christian University vs. Nicholls State University.

  • The Spartans enter the tournament with one conference win and a 10-7 record overall
  • Last time out, No. 4 pair Blaire Fleming and Teila Allen won both of their matches against Saint Mary's and Sacramento St.
  • SJSU swept Nicholls State University 5-0 on March 11 at the Southland Midseason Tournament
  • Currently, No. 1 pair Cheyenne Rice and Jaida Ward and No. 5 pair Isabelle Sistek and Meredith Scott are tied for a team-high seven match wins on the season
  • No. 2 pair Amethyst Harper and Siena Brewster and No. 5 pair Isabelle Sistek and Meredith Scott are tied to lead the team in conference wins, with three match wins each over Southland opponents
