LAS VEGAS – San José State (9-11, 4-5 MW) fell 4-0 to San Diego State (14-6, 7-2 MW) on Friday to start its long stay in Las Vegas ahead of next week's Mountain West Tournament.
- Alba Pedrero Galindo and Carolina Millan got off to a hot start in doubles, taking the No. 1 match 6-0.
- The doubles point came down to the No. 2 match where Rozalina Youseva and Irena Muradyan fought back from 3-1 and 5-3 down to force a tiebreak. They ultimately fell short, putting the Aztecs up 1-0.
- SDSU continued their strong play in singles, winning the Nos. 1, 2 and 3 matches in straight sets to earn the team win.
- Youseva, Jovana Babic and Olaya Bances Iglesias each won their first set in the Nos. 4-6 matches, but each went unfinished.
UP NEXT: The Spartans will close the regular season with a matchup against UNLV on Saturday at 1 p.m.
