CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — No. 2 pair Siena Brewster and Amethyst Harper and No. 5 pair Meredith Scott and Isabelle Sistek each won a set to lead No. 6 seed San José State in a 3-0 first round loss against No. 3 seed Boise State at the Southland Conference Championship.
- "We performed pretty well, better than we played Boise all year," said Coach Gary Hodge after the dual
- Harper and Brewster won their first set 21-15 over Boise State's Sharli O'Neil and Ava Anderson and were leading in the second set 12-5 before the dual was called
- Sistek and Scott won their first set against the Broncos' Joey Benson and Aris Vetter, 21-17
- This is the Spartans' first appearance at the SLC Championship after joining the conference in July 2022
