FRESNO, Calif.—Right-handed pitcher Jonathan Clark tossed 6.2 innings, allowing only one run on seven hits while striking out six to lead the San José State baseball team (19-15, 12-4 Mountain West) in a 2-1 win over Fresno State (18-18, 9-9 Mountain West) on Friday night at Pete Beiden Field at Bob Bennett Stadium. The Spartans won in extra innings in walk-off fashion as Jack Colette doubled in the bottom of the 10th inning to bring home Robert Hamchuk.
- Despite playing in Fresno, the Spartans were officially the home team and batted second because it was a makeup game from a contest on March 5 which was postponed due to rain in San Jose.
- Hunter Dorraugh led the Spartans offensively in the game, going 2-for-3 with a home run, a double and a walk.
- Colette also had two hits, going 2-for-4 with a couple of doubles and an HBP.
- Left-handed pitcher Jack White tossed 3.0 scoreless innings of relief and did not allow a hit. He recorded five strikeouts and retired the first seven batters he faced.
- RHP Darren Jansen earned his second win of the season.
