FRESNO, Calif.— San José State will travel to Fresno State for its final meet of the outdoor regular season before the Mountain West Championships start on May 11.
- With one meet left on the schedule in the outdoor season, Emilia Sjostrand is second in the nation in the Women's Triple Jump with a mark of 13.92m (45'8"), which she recorded at the Cardinal Classic on March 18
- Most recently, the men's throwers Jacob Lopez and Bryson Smith were both victorious at the Payton Jordan Invitational. Smith won the Men's Hammer Throw with a mark of 65.58m (215'2") and Lopez triumphed in the Men's Shot Put with a mark of 16.15m (53'0")
- Ajamu Reed has put up solid performances in the Men's Triple Jump and Long Jump competitions after earning an All-MW selection in the indoor season for the Men's Long Jump and second place at the MW Indoor Championships. Reed is currently ranked No. 2 in the nation for U20 Men's Long Jump after winning the Men's Long Jump at the Bryan Clay Invitational with a mark of 7.93m (26'0.25")
- Last time out, Osayi Omorodion won the Women's 100m Hurdles event at the Bryan Clay Invitational with a time of 13.63 seconds. Her mark is the third-fastest in school history
- Alyssa Bean and Gabby Spencer have anchored the Women's Relay teams to four first place finishes and one third place result throughout the outdoor season
UP NEXT: SJSU will head back to Fresno State for the Mountain West Outdoor Championships held May 11-14.
