TUCSON, Ariz. – Kristopher Stiles shot a team-low 69 (-3) in the second round of the Mountain West Championship on Saturday, as San José State sits in a tie for fifth heading into Sunday's final round.

  • Zubair Firdaus ended the day where he started at -6 after a second-round 72. He currently sits in a tie for 10th place individually.
  • Stiles's round put him at -4 for the tournament and a tie for 15th.
  • Kotaro Murata shot a 1-under-par 71 to move into a tie for 19th place at -3.
  • Carl Corpus matched Murata with a 71.
  • Stiles is tied for third in par-3 scoring, shooting 1-under-par for the tournament and averaging 2.88 strokes per hole.
  • The Spartans are second in the field in total birdies with 44 after two rounds.
