TUCSON, Ariz. – Kristopher Stiles put together his best round of the weekend on Saturday as San José State closed out the Mountain West Championship at OMNI Tucson National. The team's total score of 842 (-22) is their lowest score to par of the season.
- Stiles shot a team-low 67 (-5) to move into a tie for 10th place individually, with an overall score of 207 (-9).
- Carl Corpus had the second-best round of the day for the Spartans with a 4-under-par 68.
- Caleb Shetler shot a 2-under-par 70 with a pair of eagles on holes 8 and 10. His total score of 214 was good enough for a tie for 24th.
- Zubair Firdaus matched Shetler with a 214 to finish in a tie for 24th.
- Shetler was second in the field in par-5 scoring, shooting -12 for an average of four strokes per hole.
- Stiles finished -1 on the par 3's, tied for third best in the field, averaging 2.92 strokes per hole.
- The Spartans finished with 61 combined birdies, tied for fourth overall.
