RENO, Nev. – Jovana Babic earned the lone point for San José State (7-9, 2-3 MW) in their matchup against Fresno State (7-9, 2-3 MW) on Friday in their first of their two final matches during this six-match road trip.
- The Spartans were unable to secure the doubles point after falling in the No. 1 and No. 2 matches while Carolina Millan and Olaya Bances Iglesias were winning 4-2 in the No. 3 match.
- The Bulldogs took control with a 3-0 lead after taking points in the Nos. 1 and 2 singles matches before Babic won the No. 6 match 6-3, 7-5 to put the Spartans on the board.
- Fresno State earned the win in the No. 3 position in a three-set match while Raquel Villan Pereira went unfinished in the third set of the No. 5 match.
UP NEXT: The Spartans close out their six-match road trip on Saturday morning against Nevada at 10 a.m.
