SAN JOSE, Calif. – Alyssa Graham hit a grand slam home run in the fifth inning to lead San José State (17-21, 5-7 MW) in a 6-2 win over Colorado State (19-13, 5-6 MW) in the final game of a three-game series from Spartan Softball Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
 

Ashley Rico added to the Spartans lead with a two-run single in the sixth inning and the Spartans have won both Mountain West series at home this season.

  • Graham has eight home runs on the season to lead the Spartans and it's her second grand slam this year
  • Graham also leads the Spartans with 28 RBIs and extended her on-base streak to a season team best 20 games
  • Graham has four home runs in her last six games overall
  • Rico has 13 RBIs on the season
  • Reina Zermeno went 2-for-3 and extended her hit streak to eight games
  • Zermeno has hits in 14 of her last 16 games overall and also scored a run for the Spartans
  • Jenessa Ullegue pitched her seventh complete game of the season and struck out six on the way to her ninth win this year
  • Ullegue, Adrianna Noriega and Makenzie Hutchinson all crossed the plate for the Spartans
