RENO, Nev. – Rozalina Youseva and Irena Muradyan continued their strong run in doubles with a 6-3 win in the No. 2 match, but San José State (7-10, 2-4 MW) fell 4-0 to Nevada (7-7, 2-4 MW) to close the six-match road trip on Saturday morning.
- Muradyan and Youseva's doubles win moves them to 7-3 in dual matches as a pair
- The duo has won five of their last seven doubles matches
- The doubles point came down to a tiebreaker in the No. 1 match where Carolina Millan and Alba Pedrero Galindo fell short 7-6 (7-5)
- Millan led 1-0 after a tiebreak win (11-9) in the No. 1 singles match before going unfinished in the second set
- Youseva also led 1-0 after taking the first set 6-1 and was leading the second set 3-1 in the No. 4 match before going unfinished
UP NEXT: The Spartans return for their final two home games of the season, first against New Mexico on Friday at 2 p.m. with their final home match against Air Force on Saturday at 2 p.m. The Spartans will honor their three seniors, Galindo, Raquel Villan Pereira and Lara Marco Mas, following the match.
