SAN JOSE, Calif.—Right-handed pitcher Jonathan Clark tossed 7.0 scoreless innings, surrendering only two hits while striking out a season-high nine to lead the San José State baseball team (25-24, 16-11 Mountain West) in a 7-1 win over Nevada (20-31, 10-18 Mountain West) on Thursday night at Excite Ballpark.
- Clark, a graduating senior, pitched his second shutout of the season in what was his final career start at Excite Ballpark.
- Nik Trapani led the Spartans offensively with two extra-base hits: a two-run home run and a double.
- Charles McAdoo hit a three-run home run.
- Robert Hamchuk tallied a double.
- Left-handed pitcher Jack White registered six strikeouts in 2.0 innings of relief.
