FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Alyssa Graham hit a three-run double to leadSan José State (27-30, 11-11 MW) in a 7-4 loss against Maryland (38-18, 11-11 Big Ten) from Horsetooth Field at the Triple Crown Sports facility in the NISC on Friday. SJSU went 1-2 in the NISC as their season comes to a close.
The Spartans loaded the bases with no outs in the fifth inning and then with one out Graham knocked in three runs with a double to left center and later Ashley Rico hit a two out RBI single to give the Spartans a 4-3 lead. The Spartans scored 13 runs combined between their two games on Friday in the fifth inning.
The Terps came back with four runs in the top of the sixth inning to put the game away.
- Graham went 2-for-4 with a run scored to go along with her three RBIs
- Rico finished the game going 2-for-3
- Lacie Ham went 7.0 IP with a pair of strikeouts
- Karizma Bergesen and Aubrie Thomas each went 1-for-3 with a run scored
- Taylor Squires scored a run
- The Spartans beat CSUN 13-5 in six innings earlier on Friday in the NISC
- SJSU's 27 total wins and 11 conference wins are both the most for SJSU since 2019
