SJSU's Jonathan Clark Recognized by College Baseball Nation

COLLEGE BASEBALL NATION ANNOUNCEMENT

SAN JOSE, Calif.—
Right-handed pitcher Jonathan Clark of the San José State baseball team was recognized by College Baseball Nation as one of three Pitching MVP Performances of the Week. Clark, a redshirt senior from San Marcos, Calif. tossed 7.0 scoreless innings, surrendering only two hits while striking out a season-high nine in a 7-1 win over Nevada on Thursday, May 18.

  • Clark received the honor along with RHP Tanner Hall of No. 16 Southern Miss and RHP Andrew Lindsay of No. 13 Tennessee.
  • Thursday's outing was Clark's third shutout performance of the season; he tossed 5.0 scoreless innings against Washington (Feb. 25) and San Diego State (March 10).
  • Clark struck out nine batters in a game for the third time in 2023.
  • This season, he ranks seventh in the Mountain West conference in ERA at 4.58 and is fourth in the conference in strikeouts with 74.
  • Clark's other honors include:
