HIGHLIGHTS
SACRAMENTO, Calif.— Eve Divinity and Emilia Sjostrand finished 9th and 10th in the Women's Long Jump to lead San José State in the second day of competition at the NCAA West First Round.
- Divinity and Sjostrand both submitted top marks of 6.21m (20'4.5") in the Women's Long Jump to place ninth and tenth respectively (difference on wind assistance).
- The top 12 advance to the NCAA Championships in Austin, Texas, and so both Divinity and Sjostrand will join teammates Ajamu Reed and Fabio Hessling in representing SJSU in the field events.
- Osayi Omorodion submitted a mark of 13.59 seconds to advance to the quarterfinal round of the Women's 100m Hurdles on Saturday.
- Omorodion's mark is the fourth-fastest in school history.
UP NEXT: The Spartans will continue in the NCAA West First Round tomorrow in the men's track events quarterfinal rounds.
