SAN JOSE, Calif. – Caleb Shetler of the San José State men's golf team earned a bid into the NCAA Regional in Morgan Hill, Calif., as an individual after a stellar 2022-23 senior campaign. Shetler joins Cody Blick (2013, 14, 15), Mark Hubbard (2009), David Kim (2005) and Isaac Weintraub (2003) as Spartan individuals to compete at an NCAA Regional since the year 2000.
- This is Shetler's first appearance in an NCAA regional. He is the No. 7 seed out of 10 individuals that will compete at The Institute in Morgan Hill on May 15-17.
- Shetler led the Spartans in scoring average at 72.38 over 26 rounds this season.
- The senior has four top-10 finishes in nine events, including a third-place finish at the Alister MacKenzie Invitational on October 10-11.
- He led the team with eight rounds in the 60's and 10 rounds at even par or better on the year.
