National CBS Game Among Nationally Televised Games for SJSU in 2023

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - San José State football will have at least eight nationally televised games including on CBS in the 2023 season, announced by the Mountain West on Wednesday.

The Spartans play on CBS at home against Oregon State Presented by Webcor on Sunday, Sept. 3 at 12:30 p.m. to open the Spartan Athletics Center. It will be the first time the Spartans have played a regular season game on CBS since their 35-31 win over Stanford on Sept. 18, 1982 and their first Sunday game since Nov. 8, 2009 against Nevada.

"To be on national CBS in an exclusive television window will provide our athletic department and university to show exactly where our football program is in 2023," said Director of Athletics Jeff Konya. "We are excited at bringing the Spartan Athletics Center online and into our football gameday environment by showcasing it to the nation. We're looking forward to a great game against an expected nationally ranked Oregon State team and Sparta will be up for the challenge."

SJSU will also host a Friday night game from CEFCU Stadium for the third season in a row, this time against Air Force at 7:30 p.m. on FS1. The Spartans open the season at USC on Aug. 26 at 5:00 p.m. on the Pac-12 Network.
