SAN JOSE, Calif. –San José State (23-26, 11-11 MW) fell 7-2 in an extra-innings matchup against Utah State (18-26, 9-13 MW) to conclude the regular season Saturday at Spartan Softball Stadium.
- The Spartans celebrated seniors Jenessa Ullegue, Alyssa Graham, Jessica Giacoma, Arianna Miranda and Jillian Figueroa prior to the game.
- Graham added points to her on-base percentage, drawing three walks on the day to bring her series total to seven.
- Lacie Ham entered the game in the second inning and finished with 7.1 IP and three strikeouts.
- The Spartans tied the game 1-1 in the fifth inning after an Aggie error on an attempted sacrifice bunt from Reina Zermeno plated Graham.
- After a Utah State run in the sixth gave the Aggies a 2-1 lead, Karizma Bergesen singled up the middle in the bottom half to bring in Aubrie Thomas, and the game went to extra innings.
- The game was delayed approximately 10 minutes for field maintenance due to rain.
UP NEXT: The Spartans head to the Mountain West Championship starting May 11th at San Diego State and all the games can be seen on the Mountain West Network. SJSU will be the No. 4 seed and take on No. 5 seed Fresno State at 10 a.m.
