Women's Basketball Adds Six To 2023 Signing Class

SAN JOSE, Calif. – The 2023-24 San José State women's basketball team added six players to their 2023 signing class as head coach April Phillips enters her second season at the helm of the program.

Jyah LoVett, 5-8, G, Fr., San Gabriel, Calif./Bella Vista Prep (Phoenix, Ariz.)



"Jyah is an extremely talented and competitive playmaker who loves to win. She plays with energy, passion and love for the game on both ends of the ball. I've been very impressed with her desire to help create something special here at SJSU. Jyah is going to be a major addition to our program for years to come.   • Scored 61 points in a game (18th player in California state history to score at least 60 points in one game)

Kaliyah Dillard, 6-0, G/F, Fr., Las Vegas, Nev./Centennial High School



"KD is extremely gifted. Her length, athleticism and versatility enables her to play multiple positions with high efficiency, both offensively and defensively. Kaliyah has won multiple championships and knows how to work to win. Mame Ndoye, 6-3, F/C, Fr., Medina, Dakar/Dream City Christian



"Mame has an extremely high upside! She is really athletic, brings us an inside presence and has a really good touch from the perimeter. I'm excited for her to grow with us, and develop over the course of her collegiate career. She's worked really hard to become the player she is, and I look forward to helping her achieve new heights. She's got phenomenal size, and is well equipped to play multiple positions. She can get out in transition, get to the rim, shoot the three, and sees the floor well which makes her a good passer. She is very competitive and has experience at the Division 1 level that will carry over to the court here at SJSU. I am excited to see the impact Finau makes on our program.
