LAS VEGAS - San José State quarterback Chevan Cordeiro and wide receiver Justin Lockhart were named to the 2023 Mountain West Football Preseason All-Conference Team, as announced by the conference on Wednesday. Cordeiro was also named the Preseason Mountain West Offensive Player of the Year.
This is the third year in a row the Spartans have had a Mountain West Preseason Player of the Year and defensive end Villiami "Junior" Fehoko was named Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year last season.

The Spartans open training camp on campus and open to the public on July 26. Mountain West media days begin on July 19 at Circa Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nev.
