SAN JOSE, Calif. - San José State is adding a home-and-home series with North Texas to its 2027 and 2032 non-conference football schedule, announced by Director of Athletics Jeff Konya on Tuesday. The first game is set for Oct. 2, 2027 at CEFCU Stadium and then on the road to Denton, Texas on Sept. 25, 2032.
This will be the first meeting between the schools since the Spartans beat North Texas at home 28-16 on Nov. 28, 1981.
The Spartans have also changed their game dates with Akron to hosting the Zips at CEFCU Stadium on Sept. 18, 2032 and on the road in Akron, Ohio on Sept. 17, 2033.
