SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.—Blaire Fleming recorded 13 kills, her 10th double-digit kills match this season, to help lead the San José State volleyball team to a 3-0 win over CSUN Friday afternoon at the USF Challenge in San Francisco.
- Fleming was the only Spartan in double-digit kills and hit .321 for the match with 28 attempts and only four errors.
- Nayeli Ti’a and Alessia Buffagni led the team with 11 digs each.
- Jiana Lawson hit an outstanding .818 for the match with nine kills on 11 attempts and no errors.
- Lawson also led the team with seven blocks, two solos and five assists.
- Brooke Slusser and Teya Nguyen each recorded 19 assists in the win.
- The Spartans had to dig themselves out of a nine-point deficit early in the first set and held off two set points from the Matadors to eventually win 28-26.
- SJSU led the entire second set, and the two teams battled early in the third set before taking the lead for good at 4-3, and won the set 25-23.
