SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San José State women's tennis team starts its fall season this weekend as Carolina Millan and Irena Muradyan will travel down to San Diego to compete in the USTA Collegiate Classic on September 21-24.
- Millan is returning after a stellar 2023 season where she was named to the Mountain West All-Singles Team for the third time in her career.
- She went 13-10 overall in singles with five wins from the No. 1 position.
- Muradyan also had a strong season with a team-high 17 singles wins, along with 14 doubles wins.
- Last season, the Spartans recorded a win over then top-seeded Air Force, as well as a pair of wins in the Mountain West Tournament over New Mexico and Wyoming.
- The Spartans will return to the Bay Area for the remainder of their fall season, starting with the Cal Fall Invitational on September 29-October 1.
- They will then compete in the ITA Regionals at Stanford on October 12-16 before concluding the fall season at the Saint Mary's Fall Invite in Moraga on October 27-29.
