Spartans Announce 2023-24 Women's Basketball Schedule

SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San José State women's basketball team is set to begin their 2023-24 campaign, the second season under the helm of head coach April Phillips, as they announce their non-conference and conference schedules for this season.

  • The Spartans return a number of key players, including starters Sabrina Ma, Marisa Davis-Jones and Jasmine Singleton.
  • Some newcomers expected to make impacts this season are transfer Finau Tonga and freshmen Maya Anderson, Jyah LoVett and Sydni Summers.
  • The season begins with three-straight home games, starting with a cross-town matchup against Santa Clara on November 6, followed by meetings with Bellarmine and Cal Poly on November 9 and 11.
  • The Spartans will then hit the road to take on Montana State on November 14 before going down to Southern California to take on Loyola Marymount on November 19.
  • Over Thanksgiving weekend, SJSU will be in Berkeley to compete in the Raising The B.A.R. Invitational, hosted by Cal before returning home to take on Bethesda on November 27.
  • The Spartans will close out their non-conference slate with four straight on the road, starting with Cal State Fullerton on November 29 before heading to the island of Oahu to take on Hawaii on December 3.
  • They'll return to Southern California on December 18 to take on Cal State Northridge before closing out their non-conference slate at Saint Mary's on December 29.
  • The Spartans open Mountain West play in the new year, starting with a home game against Fresno State on January 3 before a two-game road trip at Utah State on January 6 and UNLV on January 10.
  • They'll return home for two games against Nevada on January 13 and Boise State on January 17 before going back on the road to San Diego State on January 20 and Colorado State on January 27.
  • SJSU will close out the month of January at home against New Mexico before hosting Air Force on February 3.
  • There's a quick road trip to Boise State on February 7 before coming back to the Provident Credit Union Event Center to take on San Diego State on February 10.
  • The Spartans will spend Valentine's Day at New Mexico before heading to Fresno to take on the Bulldogs on February 17.
  • The Spartans will have a quick homestand against Utah State on February 21 before going back on the road to take on Air Force on February 24. That will lead into the only regular-season matchup with the Cowgirls of Wyoming on February 28.
  • SJSU opens the month of March at home against Colorado State for the final home game of the season before closing out the regular season in Reno to take on Nevada on March 5.
  • The Mountain West Tournament is set to take place March 10-13 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
