LAS VEGAS, Nev.—Letizia Cammillucci recorded 13 kills and five digs as the San José State volleyball team opened the Mountain West schedule at UNLV with a 3-0 loss Thursday night inside Cox Pavilion.
- Cammilluci had double-digit kills for the fifth time this season.
- Nayeli Ti’a recorded nine kills and nine digs along with two aces and five blocks, one solo and four assists.
- The Spartans had 13 blocks in the match, the third consecutive and fifth time this season the team had double-digit blocks.
- Mari Lawton led the Spartans with six blocks and hit .833 for the match (5-0-6).
- Jiana Lawson added five blocks and four kills for SJSU.
- Alessia Buffagni recorded 12 digs for the team.
- There were at least four lead changes and at least 10 tie scores in each set.
- Brooke Slusser had four kills on a career-high 17 attempts and added 15 assists, six digs and two blocks for SJSU.
- Teya Nguyen added 10 assists and four digs.
