Iniguez Scores in Spartans' 1-1 Draw Against Utah Valley

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Angel Iniguez scored his team-leading fifth goal of the season to lead the San José State men's soccer team (4-3-4, 1-0-1 WAC) in a 1-1 draw against Utah Valley (1-5-4, 0-1-1) on Sunday afternoon.

  • Iniguez was assisted on the goal by Isaac Lomeli and Emiliano Corona.
  • For both Lomeli and Corona, the assists were their firsts of the season.
  • David Sweeney made four saves and continued his ascent up the Spartans' all-time saves list. Sweeney is two saves away from tying the SJSU record of 253 career saves set by Keith Bateman (1992-1995).
  • Iniguez led the Spartans with three shots.
  • Five Spartans played all 90 minutes.
