SAN JOSE, Calif.—Letizia Cammillucci led the Spartans in kills for the second time this week, but the San José State volleyball fell to Mountain West leader Utah State 3-0 inside Spartan Gym Saturday afternoon.

  • Cammillucci was the only Spartan in double-digit kills with 10 and added a team-best eight digs in the match.
  • Jiana Lawson led SJSU in blocks with four assists, while Brooke Bryant, Nayeli Ti’a and Brooke Slusser each had two.
  • Bryant added nine kills and seven digs. She hit a team-best .286 in the match.
  • Elle Patterson started the third set with back-to-back service aces to give SJSU the early 2-0 lead.

UP NEXT – The Spartans finish the homestand with a match on Thursday the 19th against New Mexico. First serve is set for 6 p.m. at Spartan Gym, located inside the YUH Complex. Admission is free. The match is also designated as Breast Cancer Awareness night and is also a part of the Homecoming activities for the week.
