Barahona Leads SJSU in First Day of Ka‘anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational

LAHAINA, Hawaii Ivan Barahona fired a 64 (-7) to finish in a tie for second to lead San José State men's golf through the first round of the Ka‘anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational at the Royal Kā‘anapali Course on Thursday.

  • SJSU finished the day in third out of 20 teams with a 269 (-15).
  • Caleb Shetler recorded an impressive 66 (-5) to finish in a tie for eighth.
  • Kristopher Stiles carded a 69 (-2) and is tied for 28th.
  • Xuan Luo rounded out the Spartans with a 70 (-1).
