Spartans Sit in Fifth Following Round Two in Hawaii

LAHAINA, Hawaii – Caleb Shetler led the way for the Spartans in round two of the Ka‘anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational with a 4-under-par 67, as San José State currently sits in fifth place overall as a team.

  • Shetler finished the day with a two-round total of 133 (-9) and is in sixth individually.
  • He also had two eagles in the first nine holes of the second round. 
  • Ivan Barahona fired a 71 (E) for a two-day total of 135 (-7) to finish the round in a tie for 12th.
  • Xuan Luo and Kristopher Stiles completed day two at 139 (-3).
  • Avinash Iyer shot a 71 (E) in round two.
  • The Spartans shot a team score of 277 (-7) in round two to follow their 15-under-par 269 from round one.
