Spartans To Play On National TV For First Time Since 2006

SAN JOSE, Calif. – The Mountain West Conference announced the national television schedule for the 2023-24 women's basketball season, and San José State will be featured on FS1 for its game at San Diego State on January 20, scheduled for 3 p.m.

  • This is the third nationally televised game in program history and the first since 2006 when the Spartans took on Louisiana Tech on CSTV.
  • The Spartans begin their second season under the helm of head coach April Phillips.
  • SJSU won its first MW Tournament game since 2020, knocking off Air Force 62-51.
  • The season starts on November 6 whent the Spartans take on cross-town rival Santa Clara at the Provident Credit Union Event Center.
