FAIRFAX, Calif. -- The San José State men's golf team will compete in the Alister MacKenzie Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, October 9-10, at Meadow Club in Fairfax, Calif., hosted by Cal.
- SJSU has a scoring average of 72.13 through its first two team events.
- The Spartans finished eighth out of 14 teams in the Husky Invitational team competition shooting a 867 (+3).
- Senior Carl Corpus leads the Spartans with a stroke average of 70.50 in two events and has five rounds at par or better this season.
- Sophomore Ivan Barahona leads the individuals averaging 67.67 strokes per round and has all three rounds under-par for this season.
- The Alister MacKenzie Invitational will feature a field including Cal Poly, California, Fresno State, Harvard, Santa Clara, UC Davis, UC Santa Barbara, San Diego, Minnesota, New Mexico, Saint Mary's (CA) and San Francisco.
- Meadow Club will be a Par 71 at 6,734 yards.
