SAN JOSE, Calif.—Jiana Lawson and Letizia Cammillucci each hit .400 or better Tuesday night for the Spartan volleyball team as San José State fell to UNLV, 3-0, in the Mountain West Tuesday Night Block Party match inside Spartan Gym.
- Cammillucci led the team with 11 kills and hit .429 in the match (11-2-21).
- Lawson hit .400 for the match with seven kills on 15 attempts and only one hitting error.
- Lawson led the team with three blocks, one solo and two assists.
- She moved into a tie for eighth on the SJSU single season block assists list at 111, tying with Melissa Myers (1998).
- Lawson also moved into eighth on the single season total blocks list with 135.
- Brooke Slusser and Laurel Barsocchini each had six digs to lead the SJSU.
UP NEXT – The Spartans host San Diego State Thursday night at 6 p.m. on Senior Night. The four Spartan seniors will be honored prior to the match – Cammillucci, Lauren Conroy, Lawson and Yazmin Pitpit.
