SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - The San José State men's basketball team (5-2, 0-0 MW) will take on the Cal Poly Mustangs (2-4, 0-0 Big West) inside Mott Athletics Center on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. Watch the contest on ESPN+ or listen on KTRB

  • The Spartans are on a three-game winning streak, having won their final two games at the U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam and earning a victory over North Dakota State on Monday night.
  • SJSU scored 46 points in the second half on Monday and won the contest, 78-65. The Spartans have produced more than 40 points in six of their 14 halves this season.
  • Trey Anderson registered 21 points and Myron (MJ) Amey Jr. added a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Spartans in the win.
  • The Spartans lead the Mountain West Conference in 3-pointers made per game at 9.57. They also have the third-best 3-point percentage in the conference at .364.
  • The Spartans have started the season with a 5-2 record for the second year in a row.
  • Tibet Görener has made the fifth-most 3-pointers in SJSU history with 127 and is seven away from tying Rashad Muhammad (2013-15) for fourth at 134.

VS. CAL POLY

  • The Spartans are 25-5 all-time against the Mustangs, most recently winning 65-43 on Dec. 20, 2022.
  • In the 2022 meeting, Amey Jr. was the second-leading scorer with 10 points.
  • The Mustangs have not played since Nov. 19 when they lost to California Baptist, 67-58.
