SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - Myron (MJ) Amey Jr. scored 22 points to lead the San José State men's basketball team (5-3, 0-0 MW) in an 81-77 overtime loss to Cal Poly (3-4, 0-0 Big West) on Wednesday night.
- Three other Spartans joined Amey Jr. in double figures as Tibet Görener, Trey Anderson and Alvaro Cardenas had 17, 13 and 11 points respectively.
- Anderson (5-for-5) and William Humer (4-for-4) were perfect from the field.
- Anderson and Amey Jr. led the Spartans with three 3-pointers each.
- Cardenas dished out a game-high four assists.
- Adrame Diongue recorded a block for the seventh straight game.
- Görener tied his career high of nine rebounds.
- For Amey Jr., it was the sixth time in his career and second time this season that he produced more than 20 points.
