- The Spartans are looking for their fourth win in five games, having won three straight prior to an overtime loss at Cal Poly on Wednesday.
- At Cal Poly, Myron (MJ) Amey Jr. led the Spartans with 22 points and Tibet Görener had nine rebounds.
- Görener is fifth all-time for most 3-pointers made at SJSU with 128 and is six away from tying Rashad Muhammad (2013-15) for fourth at 134.
- Trey Anderson ranks fourth in school history in 3-point percentage (among players who have played in at least 50 games and averaged one or more 3-point attempts per game). His career mark from beyond the arc is 42.7 percent, connecting on 105 of 246 attempts.
- This season, Anderson leads the Spartans from long range as he is shooting 50 percent (19-for-38).
- The Spartans lead the Mountain West Conference in 3-pointers made per game this season at 9.50. They are also third in the conference in 3-point percentage at 36.4 percent.

- The Montana Grizzlies are 2-4 on the season and have lost three straight games with defeats to North Dakota State, No. 6 Houston and Nevada.
- The Spartans and Grizzlies share a common opponent in North Dakota State whom the Spartans beat, 78-65, and to whom the Grizzlies fell, 78-69.
