COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Mountain West announced its 2024 football matchups on Thursday as San José State will play seven conference games and one game against Oregon State along with their previously announced non-conference schedule.
With the seven conference games, four will be played at CEFCU Stadium and three will be on the road. It will be the first time the Spartans have had seven home games since the 2006 season.
"We have a very compelling schedule both home and away, in conference and non-conference next season," Director of Athletics Jeff Konya said. "We have seven home games with four being Mountain West games against Boise State, Nevada, UNLV and Wyoming that we are looking forward to hosting at CEFCU Stadium where we have gone 10-2 the past two seasons."
The 2024 schedule follows a 7+1 model, whereby each MW program will play seven league opponents, and play either Oregon State or Washington State, with an even split of four home games and four away games among the eight contests.
The Spartans went 6-2 in the Mountain West conference this past season and were co-regular season champions. The dates and times for the conference games will be released at a later date.
