Spartans Fall At Home Against Nevada

SAN JOSE, Calif. – Amhyia Moreland scored a team-high 17 points to lead San José State (6-9, 1-3 MW) as they fell 64-57 to Nevada (8-9, 2-2 MW) on Saturday afternoon.

  • Moreland shot 6-for-7 from the field and 5-for6 from the free throw line while also pulling down eight rebounds.
  • Jyah LoVett scored 16 points, 12 of which came in the second half.
  • Sabrina Ma pulled down eight rebounds and finished with six points.
  • Sydni Summers knocked down a 3-pointer to finish with five points and dished out three assists.
  • The Spartans outrebounded the Wolfpack 38-24.
  • They also outshot Nevada from the field 45.8 percent to 39.6 percent.

UP NEXT: The Spartans will close out the quick Mountain West home stand on Wednesday when they host Boise State on Wednesday. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
