COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – San José State's Jyah LoVett earned her second straight and third overall Mountain West Freshman of the Week, the league announced Monday, after two strong performances against No. 25 UNLV and Nevada last week.
- LoVett tied her career high at No. 25 UNLV with 26 points.
- She went 9-of-18 from the field and 4-of-5 from both the 3-point and free throw line to lead all scorers.
- LoVett followed that with 16 points against Nevada on Saturday with three assists.
- LoVett currently ranks third in the Mountain West in scoring during league play, averaging 22.25 points per game.
- She sits atop the league in 3PT percentage during league play at 62.5 percent.
- She also ranks inside the top 10 during league play in FT percentage (second), 3PT FG made (tied for fourth), minutes played (fourth), steals (tied for fifth), FG percentage (sixth), assists (tied for seventh) and assists/turnover ratio (10th).
