COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—For the second consecutive week, four San José State women’s gymnasts garnered Mountain West honors for their performances over the weekend at Sacramento State.
MW Gymnast of the Week – Lauren Macpherson
- Won the all-around with a season-high 39.175
- Second consecutive honor for Macpherson
MW Co- Freshman of the Week – Marissa Ashton
- Started off the beam lineup with a season-high 9.850
- Second consecutive honor for Ashton
MW Vault Specialist of the Week – Jaudai Lopes
- Won the vault title with a season-best 9.875 to anchor the vault lineup
MW Co-Beam Specialist of the Week – Katherine Weyhmiller & Lauren Macpherson
- Won the beam title as each scored a season-high 9.900 to anchor the beam team
UP NEXT – The Spartans compete this Friday night at Boise State in a quad meet with the Broncos, Air Force and West Chester beginning at 6 p.m. PT/7 p.m. MT.
