FRESNO, Calif. - Tibet Görener registered a career-high 32 points to lead the San José State men's basketball team (8-10, 1-4 MW) in an 85-82 loss at Fresno State (8-9, 1-3 MW) on Tuesday night. The Spartans fell on a buzzer-beater by Fresno State's Isaiah Hill.
- Görener made a career-high seven 3-pointers as he shot a blistering 7-for-9 from beyond the arc.
- Trey Anderson also had a career night as he connected on all five of his 3-point attempts, while tying his season high of 21 points. It was the third time in his career that he made five 3-pointers.
- As a team, the Spartans knocked down a season-high 17 3-pointers on 29 attempts (59 percent).
- Adrame Diongue recorded nine rebounds and three blocks.
- Alvaro Cardenas dished out six assists.
- Diogo (DJ) Seixas tied his career high of three assists.
- The two teams went back-and-forth as there were 22 lead changes throughout the game.
- Görener is now second in SJSU history for most career 3-pointers with 154 and is only seven away from tying the all-time leader Ryan Welage (2015-18).
