SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San José State women's water polo team will open the 2024 season on the road at the Fresno State Tournament in Fresno, Calif. at the Fresno State Aquatics Center. The Spartans will take on No. 5 UC Irvine at 9:30 a.m. and No. 9 Fresno State at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 20th.
- SJSU finished the 2023 season ranked 20th.
- The Spartans were ranked in the top 10 for academics nationally.
- Sinia Plotz was named to the ACWPC All-America Team and the All-MPSF Newcomer Team.
- SJSU rattled off five straight victories throughout the month of February both on the road and at home
- Ten Spartans were named All-Academic scholar-athletes.

- The Spartans add nine new players to the 2024 roster: Grace Smith, Zsofia Hadju, Darcy Spark, Emma Ruzic, Jennine Osorio, Vanessa McNabb, Mackenzy Clark, Paxtyn Reihs, and Rose Jensen.
- SJSU starts the season ranked 18th nationally.
