SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San José State women's tennis team (2-0, 0-0 Mountain West) earned a 5-2 win over Sacramento State (1-2, 0-0 Big Sky) on Saturday afternoon at the Spartan Tennis Complex.
- The Spartans earned a comfortable victory as they took the first four of five points before the teams decided to play out the remaining two matches.
- Rozalina Youseva quickly dismantled her opponent on court four, winning 6-0, 7-6.
- Carolina Millan won on court one, 6-3, 2-6, 6-1.
- Irena Muradyan earned the victory on court three, 6-2, 4-6, 6-2.
- Jovana Babic was the final Spartan to clinch a point, winning 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 on court six.
- The Spartans took the doubles point with the pairings of Cheuk Ying Shek/Muradyan and Millan/Babic winning their matches.
UP NEXT: The Spartans will return to the court on Friday, Feb. 9 to host Cal Poly at 12 p.m. at the Spartan Tennis Complex.
