WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. - Carl Corpus fired a 68 (-3) to finish in a tie for eighth to lead San José State men's golf through the first round of the Southwestern Invitational at North Ranch Country Club on Monday.
- SJSU finished the day in 11th out of 13 teams with a 288 (+4).
- Corpus finished the day with four birdies and an eagle.
- Xuan Luo recorded a 70 (-1) to finish in a tie for 16th.
- Caleb Shetler, Ivan Barahona, and Zubair Firdaus all finished at 75 (+4) to round out the Spartan lineup.
- On the individual side, Keshav Mungali shot a 73 (+2).
