COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—San José State women’s gymnasts Jaudai Lopes, Katherine Weyhmiller and Jada Mazury have been honored by the Mountain West after their performances Sunday in the home meet with Sacramento State.
Jaudai Lopes – MW Co-Vault Specialist of the Week
- Scored a 9.900 on vault to capture the co-title at the Boise State Quad
- Third consecutive week to earn this honor
- Helped the Spartan vault team to a season-best 48.975
Katherine Weyhmiller – MW Bars Specialist of the Week; Co-Beam Specialist of the Week
- Scored a career-best 9.925 to win the bars
- Added a 9.875 on beam to win the event
- Helped the bars team to a season-best 49.250 and the beam team to season-high 49.000
- First bars honor and second beam honor earned
Jada Mazury – MW Floor Specialist of the Week
- Tied her career high with a 9.925 on floor to win the event
- Helped the Spartan floor team to a 49.275
- First floor honor and second weekly honor earned this season
