LOGAN, Utah – Jyah LoVett scored 21 points to lead the Spartans (6-8, 1-1 MW) as they took down Utah State (3-11, 0-3 MW) 69-54 on Saturday afternoon for their third-straight win over the Aggies dating back to last season.
- LoVett went 7-for-13 from the field and 3-for-4 from behind the arc.
- It is LoVett's second-straight 20-point game.
- The freshman also had four assists and three steals.
- Marisa Davis-Jones neared a double-double off the bench with 13 points and seven rebounds.
- Amhyia Moreland nearly had her second-straight double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds.
- Sabrina Ma was the fourth Spartan in double figures with 12 points and a pair of 3-pointers.
- Sydni Summers knocked down three 3-pointers to finish with nine points.
- The Spartans shot 44.2 percent from the field and knocked down nine 3-pointers at a 45-percent clip.
- The San José State defense forced 22 turnovers with 12 steals and scored 23 points off those turnovers.
- The Spartans have won seven of the last nine meetings with Utah State, going back to the 2018-19 season.
