COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Jyah LoVett earned her second-career Mountain West Freshman of the Week honor, the league announced Monday, after getting her Mountain West career off to a fantastic start against Fresno State and Utah State.
- LoVett averaged 23.5 points per game in her first two Mountain West games of her young career.
- The freshman scored her new career-high 26 points on 11-of-18 shooting from the field against Fresno State.
- She followed that with a 21-point outing against Utah State on 7-of-13 shooting from the field.
- LoVett knocked down three 3-pointers in both contests and went 6-for-8 combined from behind the arc at a 75-percent clip.
- She combined for five assists and five steals in the two games.
- LoVett was named the Mountain West Freshman of the Week on Nov. 20, 2023.
UP NEXT: LoVett and the Spartans will take on UNLV on Wednesday in Las Vegas. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
