Corpus Finishes T17th to Lead SJSU at the Southwestern Invitational

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. - Carl Corpus fired a 211 (-2) to finish tied 17th to lead San José State at the Southwestern Invitational at North Ranch Country Club.

  • SJSU finished the tournament in 10th out of 13 teams with a 861 (+9).
  • Corpus finished with a total of 12 birdies and an eagle over the three rounds. 
  • Zubair Firdaus shot a final round of 70 (-1) to finish in a tie for 23rd at 214 (+1). 
  • Caleb Shetler fired a 72 (+1) in the final round.
  • Xuan Luo shot a 75 (+4) to complete the Spartan lineup.

NEXT UP: The Spartans will head to Kamuela, Hawaii to compete in the Amer Ari Invitational hosted by the University of Hawaii-Hilo at Mauna Lani Resort on February 8-10.
