FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Alvaro Cardenas scored 14 points to lead the San José State men's basketball team (8-16, 1-10 Mountain West) in a 66-47 loss to Colorado State (19-5, 7-4 Mountain West) on Friday night.

  • Cardenas led the Spartans with five assists and two steals.
  • Cardenas made two 3-pointers to bring his career total to 123 which is tied with Michael Quinney (1998-99) for seventh-most in school history.
  • Myron (MJ) Amey Jr. produced 13 points and shot 3-for-8 from beyond the arc.
  • Adrame Diongue recorded a game-high two blocks.
  • Trey Anderson collected a team-high seven rebounds.
  • The Spartans equaled the Rams in scoring in the second half, 28-28.
