COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—San José State women’s gymnasts Lauren Macpherson and Jada Mazury have earned Mountain West honors this week after their performances in last Friday night’s meet with UC Davis.
Lauren Macpherson – MW Gymnast of the Week/Beam Specialist of the Week
- Won the all-around with a season-best 39.450, the fifth-best all-around score in school history
- The first Spartan to record a 39.450 in school history
- Won the beam title with a season-best 9.925
- This is her fourth Gymnast of the Week honor and third Specialist of the Week honor
Jada Mazury – MW Co-Floor Specialist of the Week
- Won the floor title with a career-best 9.925 as the floor team’s anchor
- Added a 9.850 on bars for SJSU
- This is her second Floor Specialist of the Week honor and third honor overall this year.
