ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Amhyia Moreland scored a game-high 19 points as San José State (6-18, 1-11 MW) fell 72-51 to New Mexico (18-8, 9-4 MW) on Wednesday night to open the two-game road trip.
- Moreland went 8-for-13 from the field to lead the Spartans.
- The junior forward also had two blocks on the defensive side of the ball.
- Sabrina Ma scored 12 points with a pair of 3-pointers.
- Sydni Summers made three 3-pointers and finished with nine points.
- Summers and Alani Fluker each pulled down a team-high five rebounds.
UP NEXT: The Spartans travel to Fresno State on Saturday to take on the Bulldogs in their second matchup of the season. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.
